Week in Review: 8/26

Just in case you've already forgotten, this week we had the solar eclipse. Some of you got to experience it first hand like we did and others only saw it on social media. Either way we were pretty excited and got to experience it the best way we could think of - on the lake.

Since we're closed on Monday we decided to venture out on the boat for a relaxing day of sun (and moon) and water! We headed out on Lake Wylie early Monday morning and spent a good part of the day soaking up the sun, relaxing, and even getting a cool peak at the eclipse - with our glasses of course!

We know a crazy busy week is ahead of us so we wanted to get in our relaxation before all of the madness started. We had a great morning riding all over. We got out to swim for a bit and as our luck would have it the boat's battery died! I guess that's what happens when you only have time to take it out twice a year.

Luckily there was a kind couple who helped jump our battery off and we were back on track pretty fast. We went to one of our favorite restaurants, T-Bones on the Lake, enjoyed some yummy food and watched the solar eclipse! Even though there were a few minor bumps in the day (and in the water) we had a blast. Its always nice to relax and enjoy time with family whether its working together in the shop or sharing laughs on the lake.

Week in Review 8/19

This week we had a blast with our Football Paint Party! If you missed it, we're sorry! We're planning another paint in October. Stay tuned for more details on the day and time!

We loved hanging out with all of the lovely Clemson and USC fans. They all were so creative and crafty! Each sign had its own personality and unique flair. Check out some of our favorite pictures from last night!

Sip & Shop

Last week we hosted a Sip & Shop event on Saturday from 5-8. First of all, thank you SO much to all of those who came. We had a blast with you all!

We had live music, food, drinks, and lots of fun. We were a little nervous because people don't always like to give up their Saturday nights. Much less during tax free weekend when they've been around crowds all day.

Luckily, we had a pretty good turn out and everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves. We had some really awesome pickers from Blackstock, SC come play and sing along with some other local artists. The music was beautiful. Talk about talented! We also had a good bit of customers interested in Fall items and decor. Who knew people would be excited this early. (Of course we're excited for Fall starting in January, but we're a little odd in that.)

People of all ages came to hang out with us. From tiny tots dancing to the music, moms shopping, and grandparents chatting, it was a fantastic evening. Who know bluegrass and furniture could bring people together?

We are thinking of doing Sip & Shop once a month with different foods, activities, etc. Would you be interested in coming?
