September 26 - Pallet Designs + Signs

Meet Gail + Dennis. This couple from Asheville is so crafty and creative. Any kind of pallet sign you can imagine they've got it. Make sure to stop by and see their designs soon. They've got all kinds of fun and spooky Halloween and fall decor!

Tell us a little bit about yourselves.

We are a husband and wife team who put our combined talents together to make signs and home décor using reclaimed pallets.

What inspired you to start making your signs? How long have you been making them?

Our son, Shaun, encouraged us to get into making and selling crafts.  We have been actively involved since 2015, making items for gifts and are now participating in pop-up markets in the Raleigh NC area.

What’s your favorite sign to make?

We like making seasonal signs and enjoy special orders.

Tell us a little bit about the process of making it.

We locate old pallets and bring them home.  The pallets are taken apart, nails are removed and sanded.  Projects are cut to size, sometimes framed and then stained, painted, stenciled and embellished.

Why did you choose Olde Town Consign to showcase your items?

We were lucky to have longtime friends who suggested we show our work at Olde Town Consignment. It's been a great experience!

Do you have any plans for the future? Upcoming new products?

We are currently participating in Fall Pop-Up Markets at Relish Restaurant in Raleigh, NC. We are always looking for new ideas and welcome custom orders from the public.
