How To: Make Fabric Pumpkins

It's fall which means pumpkin everything. Here at OTC we love pumpkins and even more we love making them. Today we'll teach you how to make your own fabric pumpkin from scratch.

  • fabric (approx. 1/2 yard per pumpkin)
  • sticks (one per pumpkin)
  • rubber bands (2 per pumpkin)
  • stuffing of some sort (we used poly fill)
  • ribbon

Step One: Gather up the bottom of your fabric and secure it with a rubber band.

Step Two: Turn the fabric inside out so that the ends after the rubber band are on the inside of the pumpkin.

Step Three: While holding the top of the fabric, stuff the pumpkin. You can use a little stuffing if you want a small pumpkin or more if you'd like a larger one. Next, gather the available fabric together and secure it with a rubber band.

Step Five: Place your stick (we like the thicker ones) where your pumpkin is secured at the top.

Step Six: Add ribbons as preferred.
